Device said to boast excellent camera technology
An image has cropped up on the internet thought to be of the much-rumoured Nokia Lumia 950.
The picture was leaked by Windows Phone-loving blog WPCentral and the device in question is tipped to be the next flagship from the Finnish manufacturer.
Lumia 950 specs
Alongside the photograph, a few specs of the Lumia 950 were suggested:
- AMOLED display 1280 x 768 pixel resolution
- PureMotion HD technology
- 2GB RAM
The Nokia Lumia 950 looks set to have a great snapper too and camera features including a larger sensor than those featured rival smartphones, a Xenon flash, and lossless zoom are touted to make an appearance. Oversampling, video stabilisation, and fantastic low-light performance are also said to be in the mix.
Of course, all this remains unconfirmed as of yet, but as Nokia is famed for its excellent camera tech, it certainly seems plausible.
What’s in a name?
There’s also been speculation suggesting that Nokia has decided to name the device the Lumia 950, possibly as a result of the firm’s desire to hark back to the photography behemoth that was the Nokia N95. This sounds like a load of wet to us, but the Finnish firm has been known to do stranger things (remember the Nokia N-Gage?).
When exactly this mobile will show up is a mystery, but given the whispers of Nokia being seemingly hell-bent on bringing its PureView camera tech to high-end devices, and the fact that this one is pegged to have a bunch of awesome camera gubbins, we’d say that there’s a good chance that this device will make its bow sooner rather than later.
