Device set to feature PureView tech and Carl Zeiss lens
A photo has cropped up online apparently showing the rumoured Nokia Lumia 928 Windows Phone flagship device pegged to be released by US carrier Verizon.
The image was uncovered by the notoriously leaky tipster @evleaks, who posted the picture on his Twitter page.
Lumia lookalike
The picture looks as if it’s an official press shot from Nokia itself, and depicts the front and back of a device that’s very similar to the Nokia Lumia 920.
Clearly seen on the handset’s display is the Windows Phone 8 homescreen including its Live Tiles interface, and a bar showing the strength of phone’s LTE signal. The rear of the device reveals a camera lens that has PureView and Carl Zeiss listed below it.
UK release?
Unfortunately there has been no mention of the Lumia 928’s other features, but it’s thought the device will take the form of an updated version of the Lumia 920 with improved specs.
Information on release dates, or if the handset will be coming to UK carriers as well as Verizon in the US has not been forthcoming either.
With no official word from the Finnish manufacturer, we’ll have to file this under rumour for now, but rest assured we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more Lumia 928-related leaks and fill you in as the info becomes available.
